The College of Engineering at OGF University organized a special seminar featuring veteran engineer Eng. Ahmed Ismail Jirde, held at the University’s Admission and Student Recruitment Center.
Eng. Jirde engaged with prospective students and professionals on the theme “Engineering Education and Market Demand in Somaliland.” Drawing from his extensive career, he highlighted the growing need for skilled engineers in the country’s infrastructure, construction, and technology sectors.
He encouraged students to align their education with market realities, stressing the importance of practical skills, innovation, and professional ethics in building a sustainable future for Somaliland.
The interactive session provided participants with valuable insights into career pathways in engineering and the critical role higher education plays in preparing graduates for industry demands.
